Montbeer was established by like-minded members of the Korean Homebrew Society. The members, homebrewers for more than a decade, created Montbeer in Sokcho to share their beer with the local community, and to other brewers across the country.
From the brewery, one can enjoy the sights of the majestic Ulsanbawi of Mt.Seorak and the blue seas of Sokcho. Mont, meaning mountain, represents the Ulsanbawi. The brewery’s goal is to encourage all homebrewers to enter the craft beer industry and to open a new horizon in the industry that many dream about, but cannot achieve.
